Ethics and Values for Teaching Professionals and Administrators (Rani Anna)

Globethics and the PG and Research Department of Commerce at Rani Anna Government College for Women, Tirunelveli, have partnered to launch a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) aimed at embedding ethics in higher education. Inspired by Paulo Freire’s philosophy that “we make roads by walking,” this FDP highlights the role of ethical practices in fostering the social, political, and economic well-being of society. Through targeted training, the program equips faculty with the skills, motivation, and commitment necessary to lead by example, applying ethics across teaching, administration, evaluation, and leadership training.

In a competitive, career-focused academic environment, higher education institutions often face barriers to implementing ethical practices due to time constraints and a need for dedicated resources. This FDP, crafted with the expertise of Globethics, provides educators with customized tools and strategies, encouraging them to be active partners in creating an ethical educational ecosystem.

The program aims to foster a culture of respect for faculty as ethical role models, empowering them to lead transformational change. This is not merely a project but an ongoing journey, building a lifelong partnership with higher education institutions dedicated to ethical integrity.
